About the Role:
NPA Polling, a leading company within a dynamic political, grassroots, and strategic communications firm, is seeking a Director to join our Polling & Data Analysis team. This is a key role for someone with experience in survey research, data analysis, and a strong interest in Republican politics. Prior experience in campaign or public policy work is a plus.
As the Director, you will manage and mentor a team of research analysts and oversee all stages of the survey research process. You will report directly to the EVP of the Polling & Data Analysis team and have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand stakeholder needs and develop long-term research strategies.
- Lead and mentor a team of research analysts, ensuring quality assurance and excellence in their work.
- Oversee all stages of the research process, including:
- Developing research surveys and questionnaires
- Setting sample quotas and pulling sample data
- Coordinating with external vendors for survey fielding
- Processing and weighting raw data
- Guiding the creation of stakeholder reports and presentations
- Present research findings to internal teams and external stakeholders, providing actionable insights.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in research methodologies and technologies, continuously improving research practices.
- Manage specialized research projects as needed.
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Political Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in survey research, political campaigns, or public opinion research with at least 2 years of experience as a research vendor or member of an in-house research team.
- At least 1 year of experience managing a team of direct reports.
- Survey research experience including questionnaire design, sample management, survey data analysis, and reporting
- Experience in project management, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint), programming language (SQL or Python) and statistical software (SPSS preferred).
Preferred Qualifications (what will set you apart):
- Experience in Alteryx or R for data analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
- Experience with qualitative research techniques such as focus groups and IDIs.
- Understanding of regression analysis, cluster/factor analysis, segmentation, and other advanced analytical methods.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
