Position Summary
This position requires a strong finance and accounting background harnessing the knowledge to navigate the team through complex financial issues finding creative solutions. Financial Analyst works closely with Sales team monitoring costing and accounting accuracy, planning, forecasting, and budgeting. In addition, the Financial Analyst will establish and maintain an investment portfolio structure that will compliment in the company’s success. The Financial Analyst is expected to be significantly involved in the decision-making process.
Principal Duties and responsibilities
1. Examines current and past financial data, statements, to identify trends, assessing the value of the organization. Develops plans, initiatives, and policies to improve financial growth, and support the company’s longevity and achievement.
2. Coordinates with management teams to develop annual corporate planning, maintaining the respective rolling forecasts. Works closely with budgeteers ensuring up to date margins.
3. Performs margin and costing analysis reporting. Proposes budgets and sale improvement opportunities.
4. Portfolio Management: Analyzes market and business data to recommend a positive investment strategy with measured goals/results recaps, for long term company success.
5. Continuously explores and defines different investment opportunities to enrich the company’s overall growth and strength. Focuses strategy on the correct balance of products, services, industries, and regions in which to invest.
6. The Financial Analyst will navigate the team through the M/A enterprises including property development projects.
7. Provides the financial analysis, forecasting and modeling to help decision-makers assess the strengths and risks involved in each acquisition opportunity.
8. Presents reporting that includes predicting the return on each customer’s portfolio, investments, and business ventures, collecting industry research to inform decision making.
9. Collaborates with CEO, CFO and management teams to develop long-term commercial plans for National Raisin and Bedrosian Farms properties.
10. Presents and constructively participates in Sunshine Raisin Corporation BOD meetings.
11. May assist or lead other projects as assigned by the CEO, CFO, or Plant Management.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
1. Communicate thoroughly and courteously with the team and outside business partnerships.
2. Provide knowledge, training, and answer staff questions as needed.
3. Provide successful onboarding, guidance and system support to Controller and Assistant Controller regarding all aspects of bank reporting. Teach, model, and provide feedback to ensure instruction is thoroughly understood and retained, to ensure successful transition of bank reporting responsibilities is accomplished.

Knowledge: Financial Modeling and Management, Business Acumen, Ethical Business Conduct and Professional Leadership.
Skills: Excellent analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills. Ability to execute complex financial models and forecasts. Effective communicator to multi-level audiences, problem solver, self-starter, and well organized. Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and related software applications. Ability to manage multiple long and short-term projects simultaneously, while executing on a full-cycle perspective.
Additional Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance. Minimum of five to ten years applicable analytical experience.
