The Manufacturing Supervisor will take the lead on manufacturing operations – Custom shop, robotic/manual welding and general assembly. This individual will be responsible for setting up/organizing/monitoring assembly work centers, hiring/training/supervising staff and ensuring manufacturing operations are safe and efficient.

Location: Valley Cottage, NY (On-Site)
Salary: The salary range for this position, based in Valley Cottage, NY, is $70,000-$80,000 per year. The final salary will be based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

The Manufacturing Supervisor will take the lead on manufacturing operations – Custom shop, robotic/manual welding and general assembly. This individual will be responsible for setting up/organizing/monitoring assembly work centers, hiring/training/supervising staff and ensuring manufacturing operations are safe and efficient.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring compliance with safety and professional standards within a facility
- Ensuring manufacturing facilities are always orderly and clean
- Supervising operations within a facility to achieve high output
- Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals
- Evaluating various production stations to ensure optimum efficiency
- Maintaining communication between employees and senior management to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood
- Work with Operations to develop schedule based on capacity and capability
- Ensuring the flow of raw materials and other resources
- Ensuring accurate production reporting
- Ensuring accurate inventory by utilizing ERP system (receiving, shipping, reporting job orders)
- Monitor inventory by leveraging the ERP system and communicating with Procurement when resupply is needed
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment
- Assist in developing tools and fixtures to maximize safety and throughput
- Developing and organize training (i.e. SOP’s) and educational manuals for the production team – Creating and documenting standards.
- Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience supervising manufacturing operations
- Extensive knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with ERP systems, Epicor a plus.
- Familiar with GD&T standards applicable to metal fabrication & welding processes
- Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to create and adhere to production processes
- Ability to write reports legibly and accurately
