Position : Lead Network and Systems Administrator

Location : Melbourne, FL (ONSITE, not remote)

Shift : Mon to Fri, 9a to 6p

Please note, this position requires the following :

  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows OS's, networking technologies (BGP, RIP, OSPF) and virtualization (KVM), which is essential in configuring and maintaining systems to meet operational requirements.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Experience with leading a small team of IT personnel preferred
  • Experience with Linux and Windows servers in physical and virtualized enterprise environments.
  • Experience with networking technologies and enterprise switch management.
  • Experience with Active Directory and multi-platform authentication / identification environments.
  • Experience with virtualization technology (KVM, Hyper-V).
  • Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure (GoGlobal, RDS).
  • Experience with enterprise storage (SAN, NAS).
  • Expert working knowledge, including the ability to setup, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot, Windows-based systems and services (i.e., SCCM, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP).
  • Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, and remote access.
  • Experience with LAN, WAN and WLAN design and implementation.
  • Experience with network design, capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose specific problems with networks, computers, and associated equipment and software.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to create and follow complicated instructions to install, configure and validate the environments
  • Must be capable of troubleshooting components when unexpected results are encountered
  • Must be able to utilize and create command line tools and scripts for automation, administration, data collection and reporting. This job requires the ability to create, test, debug, deploy, and maintain scripts and other automation tools.
  • Must be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment and able to work with a range of engineers holding a diverse set of skills at differing levels of experience.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
  • Must be able to analyze real world problems and implement solutions according to IT guidelines and procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Be sensitive and flexible to the needs and requirements of the company.
  • Effective interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Skills and Attributes

  • Knowledge of network protocols (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP), firewalls, and security technologies.
  • Python, Bash, PowerShell (or similar) scripting experience.
  • Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Vyos and Ubiquiti devices.
  • Understanding of Access Control Lists
  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, M365
  • Virtual environment KVM, ProxMox, Hyper-V etc.
  • Advanced networking experience in IPv4, switching, routing, firewalls, and HA architecture.
  • Experience with Linux services such as MySQL, HAProxy, NGINX, Apache.
