We are looking for a Construction Cost Accountant to impact and improve our corporate team.
How can you help be a part of this exciting opportunity:
- Monitor project spending and make recommendations to improve the bidding process.
- Work closely with the project managers and office staff to identify and correct job cost discrepancies.
- Generate reports including Accounts Payable/Receivable, Work in Progress, and Job Cost.
- Review and maintain accurate project cost reporting, including – but not limited to committed costs, percentages billed to date for project budget and percentages billed to date for subcontractors.
- Investigate any unbilled project costs.
- Assist in auditing and closing out jobs.
- Timely completion of month-end closing processes.
- Assist the accounting team with various tasks.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with concentration in accounting
- 2 years accounting experience in construction or real estate development
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting, including cost controls, job costing, and profit and loss accounting
- Ability to understand complex billing and job costing concepts
- Strong Computer Skills including Microsoft Dynamics & Excel
- Proficient in data entry, accounts payable, accounts receivable and vendor payments.
- Key competencies are strong communication skills, teamwork, initiative, and dependability
