What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant-In-Training (AIT) position at National Sports Center?
- Supervise, assist, and educate seasonal staff on day-to-day jobs
- Assist in overseeing grounds maintenance operations throughout campus
- Assist in the development of chemical and fertility plans for the golf course and fields
- Responsible for all chemical applications on golf course and fields
- Maintains chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with county, state, and federal regulations
- Maintains chemical inventory and records
- Cleans, evaluates, calibrates, and prepares all spray application equipment
- Assist in irrigation repair
- Maintain open lines of communication with Manager of Agronomy & Grounds Operations, Golf Course Superintendent, and Superintendent of Fields & Grounds
- Complete knowledge of chemical application equipment
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Possession of valid driver’s license
- Must have pesticide applicator license
- Must be dependable, willing to learn, and possess good leadership qualities
- Ability to work collaboratively across Campus Operations Department
