Position Summary:
The Motor Coach Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the motor coach fleet, ensuring efficiency, safety, and service quality. This role involves supervising drivers, coordinating schedules, responding to on-the-road issues, and supporting continuous improvement in all aspects of operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily dispatch, routing, and trip assignments for motor coach drivers.
- Monitor and enforce driver compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and DOT requirements.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to drivers.
- Handle service disruptions, customer complaints, and on-the-road incidents with prompt problem-solving.
- Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure vehicle readiness and timely repairs.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling new drivers.
- Maintain accurate trip records, driver logs, and incident reports.
- Participate in audits, inspections, and internal reviews to ensure operational standards are met.
- Manage bus wash operations.
- Foster a positive team culture with a focus on safety, professionalism, and customer service.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in motor coach, bus, or transportation operations in a leadership role.
- Experience managing a staff of 50 .
- Prior dispatch experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, safety standards, and fleet operations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and emergency call-ins.
