We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team at the National Tropical Botanical Garden. As a key member of our leadership team, the CFO will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our organization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and compliance. They will also have excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Key responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and compliance requirements
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support the organization's goals
- Work closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to make strategic decisions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and reports
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a nonprofit organization
- Proven track record of successful financial management, including experience developing and implementing financial strategies, managing budgets, and overseeing financial reporting and compliance
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience building and leading high-performing teams
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
