Position Description
Teaching assistants (TAs) perform a variety of duties in support of academic courses and faculty members.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Teaching assistants perform a variety of academic duties including
Active Oregon LAc license.
They must have either successfully passed the courses for which they are assisting, or equivalent courses. Experience with learning management software is strongly preferred. Prior teaching, tutoring or other related experience is preferred.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Some courses may require the TA to attend the class for which they are assisting. Please check with the instructor to confirm their specific needs.
Pay And Benefits
- Salary Range: $20 per hour
- Hours: 2-8 hours per week

Position Description

Teaching assistants perform a variety of academic duties including
- Assist in evaluation, grading and feedback based on established rubrics
- Set up and clean up the teaching space
- Assist with needling techniques and point location during class
- Moderate discussion forums
- Upload/input grades
- Perform background research and assemble course materials
- Set up and/or clean up the teaching space
- Assist during class
- Other tasks as assigned by the instructor
