Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for patient intake, obtaining medical histories, assisting in procedural cases by scrubbing in, circulating as needed, and helping with scheduling. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including measuring vital signs, updating medical records, and obtaining patient history.
- Assist in preparing patients for procedures
- Scrub into cases to assist providers with sterile procedures as needed.
- Circulate during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and maintaining sterile fields.
- Maintain and stock exam rooms
Administrative Duties:
- Communicate with patients regarding pre-procedure instructions and post-care guidelines.
- Coordinate with providers, nurses, and other healthcare staff to optimize clinic workflow.
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Work Environment:
- Requires standing for long periods and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Exposure to medical environments, including sterile procedure rooms

Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred, however willing to train on the job
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent patient communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and scheduling software.
Candidates must have:
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, peers, and management. Ability to communicate with proper etiquette.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to patients and remaining flexible to the needs of the business. Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to follow up on leads, schedule consultations, obtain patient consent for treatment and manage time management skills.
- Other Skills: Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service. Need to be reliable and outgoing, detail-oriented problem solver with exceptional customer service skills. Will exhibit high attention to detail, dexterity, and hand/eye coordination. Must be punctual and can prioritize and multitask.
