What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health and Safety Specialist position at National Winter Actvity Center?
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Services Director to join our team at National Winter Activity Center. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the health and safety of our campers and staff during the summer season.
Main Responsibilities:
- Screen all campers and staff who are arriving and departing the camp.
- Verify emergency authorization forms for campers and staff.
- Keep all medications used by campers and staff.
- Report any health problems or symptoms of illness to the Camp Director.
The ideal candidate will have experience in first aid and emergency management, as well as documented experience in both children and adult illness/injury care. A strong desire to work with children and young adults is essential. The ability to lift/assist campers and staff, as well as read and follow directions on medication labels, health forms, physician orders, and parent letters, is also required.
