Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Directs a team of professionals to implement signature fundraising events for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. Manages team to successfully fulfill community fundraising initiatives.
- Collaborates for and executes signature fundraising events, ensuring coordination of pre-event and event day logistics and services. Analyzes, adjusts, improves, implements, and creates unique strategies to meet or exceed goals and profits. Oversees, creates, and executes successful auctions, raffles, and monitors event donation revenue. Collaborates to create content for donor emails, special event websites, invitations, and sponsorship packets.
- Develops annual operating plan and event budgets. Manages expenses to maintain operating budget and increase ROI. Collaborates to ensure financial accountability, ensures vendors are paid, and collects sponsorships, registration fees, and other donations.
- Manages a portfolio of 75 individual and corporate prospects capable of making a sponsorship or registration gift.
- Manages and leads sponsorship committee to meet financial objectives for events. Successfully manages, recruits, and retains committee members to meet event planning and execution objectives.
- Provides excellent customer services, cultivates, and stewards sponsors, event attendees, and committee, and represents the organization at public speaking engagements and/or community events when requested.
- Secures sponsorship and registration solicitations to reach financial goals. Manages external contracts and secures appropriate organization approval. Secures in-kind partnerships or services to reduce expenses for all events.
- Utilizes Raiser’s Edge data entry for tracking activity, notes, donor acknowledgments, and maintaining donor relations. Follows fundraising procedures and policies to accept and recognize all forms of gifts and upholds the rights of all donors. Adheres to the Association of Fundraising Professionals Code of Ethics.
