- Filling/Dispensing Technician
- Non-Sterile Compounding Technician
Position Summaries
Filling/Dispensing Technician
In this role, you’ll focus on processing and filling prescriptions while ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting customers and assisting with inquiries.
- Resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Labeling medications, managing inventory, and preparing packages for pickup.
- Operating pharmacy software to manage patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and perform data entry in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining confidentiality.
- This is a non-laboratory position, and there will be no compounding duties.
Non-Sterile Compounding Technician
In this role, you’ll focus on preparing customized medications in a laboratory environment. Responsibilities include:
- Compounding non-sterile medications following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and pharmacy regulations.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace to ensure quality and safety.
- Accurately measuring, mixing, and labeling medications.
- Assisting with inventory control and ensuring all compounded medications meet quality standards.
- Collaborating with pharmacists to address unique patient needs.
Qualifications for Both Roles
- Proven experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Active CPhT certification approved by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy.
- Knowledge of medications, dosage measurements, pharmacy law, and medical terminology.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Completion of a pharmacy technician program.
