ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages and organizes office operations and procedures, such as word processing, spreadsheets and flow of correspondence, filing, requisition of supplies, and other clerical services.
- Coordinates activities of various departments or workers within department.
- Evaluates transportation department, updates procedures, or devises new forms to improve efficiency of workflow.
- This position is similar to an Office Supervisor, but scope of unit supervised typically involves a larger number of employees and more varied office activities.
- Reviews clerical and personnel records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Plans and coordinates all scheduling with customers, drivers and escorts.
- Prepares activities reports for management to determine what is scheduled to be shipped.
- Assist with ordering permits
- Coordinates DOT requirements and compliance.
- Must be well organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task and dependable.
- Excellent phone skills with positive and pleasant personality.
- Requires being on the phone regularly and outside of normal business hours.
- Escorting homes, delivering materials, inspecting and completing work at the jobsite.
- Must have good background check, valid driver's license and good driving record.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 year Degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Self starter with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a complex deadline-oriented environment
- Fluent in Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Experience with DOT regulations preferred
