Seeking a Senior Accountant for an electronic manufacturer in the military and commercial industry. The ideal candidate has 5 years experience in general and cost accounting within a background in manufacturing. Industry experience with aerospace, military and or electronics is highly preferred.
What you will do :
- Perform general and cost accounting functions. Provide program cost analysis.
- Prepare analyses as well as accounting reports according to GAAP.
- Provide technical advice and guidance according to Federal / State Regulations and GAAP.
- Gather financial information to prepare journal entries
- Prepare monthly & quarterly financial package
- Responsible for monthly detailed analysis of major GL accounts.
- Gather information and prepares various audits and gov’t surveys.
- Maintain intercompany billing and reconciliation.
- Weekly and monthly Cash Forecasts.
- Support, review, & reporting of program finance EACs, ETCs, Manpower Requirements, & Material Disbursements
- Provide ongoing visibility regarding the current and forecasted status of program cost and schedules through in-depth qualitative / quantitative analysis of performance vs. plan data
- Prep of various program control plans and reports, financial summaries, and related activities for Program Management
- Evaluation of programs at each stage to ensure that cost and financial activities of the program team, including contractual obligations, are being met
- Monitor & record capital equipment (fixed assets)
- Employee timesheet approval and Payroll Backup
