We’re a growing mid-sized distribution company looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant who can confidently manage everything from the general ledger and month-end close to supporting A/P, A/R, and payroll functions. This role requires someone who can work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage the weekly payroll process with accuracy and timeliness
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations and journal entries
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Maintain accurate account balances and bank reconciliations
- Analyze financial reports and provide actionable insights
- Prepare financial statements and support regulatory reporting requirements
- Assist with audits, tax preparation, and compliance filings
- Support cash management activities and forecasting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- 4 years of professional accounting experience
- Experience running weekly payroll
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
- Proven experience with financial reporting, cost accounting, and budgeting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and ERP systems
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Paycor payroll software
