As a Senior Accountant, your primary role will be to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations within our organization. This role is central to the smooth functioning of our finance department, and will involve working closely with various internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing Excel formulas for various financial calculations and data analysis tasks.
- Overseeing the accurate and timely processing of financial statements and reports.
- Ensuring the proper recording, categorization, and reconciliation of all financial transactions.
- Assisting in the preparation and coordination of the audit process.
- Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
- Reviewing accounting work from other staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Providing support and guidance to entry level staff within the department.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies.
- Proactively identifying areas for process improvement within the accounting department and proposing practical solutions.
- Participating in cross-departmental projects and initiatives as required.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Hold a CPA or similar detail oriented accounting certification
- Have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role
- Demonstrate proficiency in using Excel Formulas
- Exhibit strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Display competency in financial analysis and forecasting
- Show ability to manage and lead a team effectively
- Possess excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Show experience with accounting software and databases
- Be able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Display ethical conduct and maintain confidentiality
- Exhibit understanding of tax laws and regulations.
