Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Elementary School Teacher at Native American Community Academy located in Albuquerque, NM. The Elementary School Teacher will be responsible for creating lesson plans, delivering instruction, and assessing student learning for a class of students in grades K-5. The teacher must be able to integrate Native American values and tradition into their teaching. In addition to teaching content area, the teacher is responsible for student social emotional well-being development and growth.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Active New Mexico teaching license or eligibility for New Mexico teaching license
- Knowledge and understanding of Native American values and traditions
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse student population, and to use culturally responsive practices in the classroom
- Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and commitment to teaching
- Attentiveness to students' physical, emotional, and social needs
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with peers and team members in a collaborative environment
