The Packaging Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the packaging activities of the MIP packaging team. This role leads a team of packaging associates and ensures processes and workflows are compliant with SOP’s and applicable MED regulations.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and lead a team of packaging associates
- Assists with workforce and performance management including employee onboarding, training, guidance, mentoring, performance reviews, performance improvement plans, and managing team schedules, timesheet entries and time-off requests
- Implement the schedule and organize daily packaging tasks, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain accurate records of packaged products and verify all tags, strains, licenses, and batch ID’s throughout the packaging processes
- Generates daily batch and packaging labels - ensuring all the data is correct and compliant
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to guarantee the consistency and integrity of cannabis products during the packaging process.
- Conduct regular inspections of packaging materials, equipment, and finished products to meet quality standards.
- Oversees machine maintenance and repairs
- Ensures accuracy of packaging data across various platforms (D365, Metrc, etc.)
- Completes orders in ERP platform
- Assists management with the evaluation and development of SOP's
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote teamwork and employee morale.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for packaging associates.
- Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must hold a valid, or receive, a Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) employee badge
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- 1 year of supervisory, senior, or lead-level experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency using Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office programs including Gmail, Calendar Docs, Slides, Sheets, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous cannabis experience
- Experience operating and maintaining machinery
- Knowledge of METRC
- Knowledge of Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) compliance regulations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and push/pull up to 100lbs.
- Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes or items.
- Ability to work in the same area as cannabis and have direct contact with cannabis material
- Ability to complete repetitive tasks for the majority of your workday
- Ability to safely use and store chemicals including pesticides, fungicides, cleaning agents, and nutrient concentrates following manufacturer’s recommendations and/or SOP’s
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- In person at the production location based on schedule.
