We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and motivated individual to join our Global Trade team as a Middle Office Specialist (Associate or VP). This role is integral to supporting our Global Trade and Supply Chain operations within the Energy and Natural Resources and Trade and Treasury Solutions business lines. Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Process Management: Participate in all major stages of the credit process, including pre-closing and closing of facilities, client processing, deal monitoring, and repayment.
- Front Office Support: Provide comprehensive support to the Front Office to ensure seamless operations.
- Compliance Oversight: Ensure operations adhere to Natixis’ policies and procedures, coordinating process improvements and execution.
- Transaction Monitoring: Analyze outstanding transactions, maintaining a robust operational risk control framework.
- Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with various internal teams (Operations, Legal, Risk, Finance, IT, Compliance) to facilitate effective communication and operational efficiency.
- Client Engagement: Liaise with clients to process financing requests and address any concerns.
- Covenant and Risk Insurance Monitoring: Track financial covenants and ensure compliance with risk insurance requirements.
- Process Improvement Initiatives: Assist in coordinating and executing process enhancements.
- User Acceptance Testing: Participate in testing for current and new banking systems to ensure functionality aligns with operational needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Front Office by attending pre-closing meetings for new deals when necessary.
- Review agreements for compliance with credit approvals and collaborate with the Deal Closing team to ensure accurate booking in Loan IQ.
- Address any discrepancies with credit approvals by coordinating waivers with the Front Office and Credit teams.
- Confirm that all conditions precedent (CPs) are fulfilled before processing funding.
- Maintain organized records of all closing documentation and track Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filings.
- Collaborate with the Back Office to facilitate accurate transaction bookings, providing necessary information and ensuring adherence to internal procedures.
- Monitor deals from closing through to termination, ensuring timely updates and compliance with financial crime risk prevention measures (KYC, AML, sanctions, and embargo checks).
- Conduct regular follow-ups on covenants and past due accounts, ensuring timely communication with clients or agent banks.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory reporting requirements.
- Foster strong relationships with business units, GBO teams, outsourced providers, and internal support/control groups to drive process improvements.
- Actively seek to minimize operational risks and implement process enhancements in collaboration with support teams.
Qualifications
- A minimum of two years (for Associate)/ five years (for VP) of professional experience in commercial lending and asset financing support management within a commercial bank is essential.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Knowledge of Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance products is a plus.

The salary range for the Associate position will be between $105,000 - $125,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
The salary range for the VP position will be between $125,000 - $155,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
