The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the storage, transportation and delivery of goods as well as shipping equipment and filing claims with carriers and insurance companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare reports/spreadsheets, international shipping documents, review and identify action items and route to appropriate person(s)
- Manage shift changes, vacation schedule, attendance, work assignments, contact info, bar code badges, etc.
- Review/correct previous day shipping/invoicing
- Monitor report on key accounts/lead times and track orders through the plant
- Blind shipments from overseas vendors to overseas customers
- Control all imports, customs clearance, final delivery
- Prepare Letter of Credit Presentations and cash against Docs Presentation
- Be able to properly assign HS Codes
- Assist Customer Service & Production as needed
- Obtain truck, air, & ocean rates and negotiate/review/approve all freight vendor contracts
- Track and monitor shipments while balancing service and cost
- Prepare Commercial Invoices, Packing list, COO, COC, SLI’s
- Troubleshoot issues with shipping software and anything that prevents something from shipping
- Obtain insurance certificates for customers EPI and COI’s
- Maintain relationships established with carriers to ensure capacity and monitor service standards
- Communicate effectively with clients, customers, carriers and teammates
- Process large batch shipments using WorldShip or Ship Manager

Required Skills and Attributes:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Knowledge of HS Codes, Incoterms
- Preferred knowledge of international commerce sales and payment terms, customs regulations, and international supply chain processes; detail-oriented; negotiating skills; effective communication skills; able to handle multiple tasks
Education and Experience Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience in a similar role
