Summary:
The Wm. A. Natorp Company is a family owned and operated company that has been growing annuals, perennials, shrubs, roses, and trees for Greater Cincinnati landscapers, nurseries, garden stores, parks, and municipalities since 1916. We have over 150 acres under production that require the best of care, so we're looking for people who are interested in being a part of our team as year round employees.
Responsibilities:
A Team Member will be integrated into the Wholesale Production Nursery. Team members will focus on production of shrubs, perennials, trees, annuals, and propagation. The team member is responsible for carrying out job duties as directed by their immediate supervisor or Team Leader. Team members will have the opportunity to work on a large scale ?plant farm? where millions of plants are grown annually. Team members will have a hands-on approach as they learn the aspects of the Natorp Operation such as, but not limited to the following:
- Plant Production and Scheduling
- Plant Propagation from Seed or Cuttings
- Container Perennial Production and Culturing
- Container and Field Shrub Production and Culturing
- Container and Field Tree Production and Culturing
- Nursery and Annual Crop Fertility
- Soilless Media ?Recipes? for different crops
- Surface Water Management
- Irrigation and Injection Systems
- Growing Practices
- Order Harvest & Assembly
- Plant Health
