What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Controller position at Natson Hotel Group?
We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our executive team. The Controller will oversee all financial operations of our hotel portfolio, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic financial guidance to support our growth objectives.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Provide status of financial condition of the company by collecting, interpreting and reporting key financial data
- Manage cash flow and forecasting for multiple properties
- Develop and monitor budgets in collaboration with property management teams
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Lead and develop the accounting team, providing mentorship and professional growth opportunities
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls
- Partner with operational teams to analyze financial performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in hospitality or related industry
- Strong knowledge of hospitality accounting systems and operational metrics
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Excellent leadership skills with proven ability to manage accounting teams
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial management software
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal
- Multi-tasker with ability to work independently, as part of a team, and as a team lead
