Position Summary
The Project Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects by coordinating design, planning, and implementation efforts. This position serves as a bridge between project managers, field crews, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, on-schedule, and on-budget results.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Managers to develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Create, prepare, and modify models for GPS technology used on heavy equipment to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure plans are implemented accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure compliance with design specifications, and identify potential issues.
- Assist in the preparation of bids, proposals, and cost estimates.
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Track and report on project performance metrics, including progress updates, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental requirements, and company policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project quality and efficiency.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Related job experience in construction, paving, or infrastructure projects preferred.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standards.
- Proficiency with project management and GPS software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
