Job Summary:
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining long-term relationships with our valued customers, while maximizing sales opportunities and revenue growth. A primary focus for this position is understanding customers’ needs, offering solutions, and delivering exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction. Success in this role means reaching established key performance indicators through excellent telephone sales and communication skills. To be effective in this role self-motivation, time management, customer record maintenance, product knowledge, and passion are essential. This position will require limited travel to customers, markets, and territories as required.

- Managing Customer Relationships
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with existing customers and proactively engage with new, current, and potential customers to understand their business needs, challenges, and objectives.
- Create and send tailored product offerings to customers in a timely fashion and provide customers with requested product information to aid in their decision-making and to manage their expectations of the purchased products.
- Provide excellent customer service by acting as the main point of contact for customers and provide timely responses and resolutions to issues, including escalating to a manager as needed.
- Sales
- Identify and pursue potential new customers to expand an assigned book of business and find new sales opportunities within existing accounts to maximize revenue growth.
- Understand department and personal sales goals and monitor progress on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. Seek guidance and/or support when needed.
- Compile and analyze data, identify trends or patterns, and conduct research using databases and systems to prepare and maintain reports and monitor product information.
- Negotiate prices with some minimum pricing constraints.
- Understand and respect vendor agreements that restrict where products can be sold.
- Enter customer orders quickly and accurately to secure product ensuring efficiency of operations with compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments including product development and repack to deliver customizable product solutions.
- Building relationships with customers, learning about their businesses, and relaying usable business intelligence to inform Sales and Purchasing strategies.
- Perform related work as required.
Your Natural Ingredients to Win:
- Associate degree in business, marketing, or related field required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute for the degree requirements.
- Proven work experience as a Sales Account Manager or in a similar sales role, showcasing exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Display confidence and be outgoing, self-motivated, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Display personal accountability, professionalism, and honesty.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to successfully collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and interact with internal and external contacts. Skill in listening to understand.
- Able to think strategically, learn about diverse company operations and processes; skilled in problem solving.
- Ability to gather and analyze data for the purpose of preparing accurate and timely reports, recommendations, and responses to requests for information.
- Able to follow established procedures and carry out complex duties with minimal supervision. Able to assess and troubleshoot problems and take appropriate corrective action.
- Able to work as a team member and establish effective and cooperative working relationships while using tact, good judgment, and resourcefulness.
- Advanced skill in planning, organizing, and scheduling resources and activities. Has a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Able to communicate and present information effectively both in verbal and written format to varied audiences.
