Position Summary
The Warehouse Specialist supports operations by managing parts identification, purchasing, and inventory control across various locations, while handling purchase order documentation and inventory records.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with operations to assess and fulfill inventory needs.
- Oversee inventory levels, handle requisitions for parts as requested by the manager, and assist in troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Check received items against purchase orders and ensure proper scanning and filing of documents.
- Receive, unpack, and deliver goods; restock and label shelves as needed.
- Process and approve invoices for payment.
- Assist accounting with purchase order reconciliation and audits.
- Document returns according to established procedures.
- Conduct quarterly inventory counts and report discrepancies.
- Improve inventory management procedures.
- Stock and distribute supplies, equipment, and merchandise.
- Manage the return of equipment cores to suppliers for credits.
- Serve as a parts runner in the Midland/Odessa and Permian Basin areas.
- Assist the warehouse with receiving parts and support the yard supervisor as needed.
- Maintain designated supplies.
Qualifications
- Experience with warehouse parts management, including inventory and cycle counts.
- Proficient in ERP systems, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong math, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work extended hours and travel occasionally.
- Forklift experience is preferred.
- Clean driving record and ability to tow a trailer.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Excellent communication skills with warehouse staff, purchasing departments, and vendors.
- Highly organized and capable of working independently.
- Must be fluent in English; bilingual is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in gas compression equipment.
