Job Overview:
The Purchasing Assistant will be a vital member of the procurement team, responsible for supporting the purchasing process, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of raw materials and supplies. Key Responsibilities:
- Order Processing: Coordinate and process purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of material requirements.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring reliable sourcing and delivery of materials.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and collaborate with the team to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and vendor communications, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with production teams to align purchasing activities with production schedules and requirements.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- 0-1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Experience in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing industries is an advantage.
