Position Summary

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) warmly welcomes each patient and patron to the dispensary. The PSR listens carefully to the needs of each person, and respectfully shares cannabis product knowledge and education. NatureMed’s PSRs exhibit a high level of professionalism, and complete each customer sales transaction accurately, and in compliance with state laws.

Budtenders work with their team to create an environment that is welcoming, professional, and organized. As a Budtender, you report to the Store Manager and collaborate with the Assistant Store Manager and Store Supervisors.

Budtenders earn $15.00 to $16.00 per hour to start, plus tip share.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

A PSR’s key responsibilities are to:

• Show up on time, with a great attitude, ready to assist customers.
• Provide a warm welcoming environment for all team members, patrons and patients.
• Validate patient info and allotment for purchase with ID Scanners and Dutchie POS.
• Prepare online orders for pick-up.
• Provide excellent customer service, escort customers from the waiting room and around the dispensary throughout their entire transaction.
• Complete sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Consistently use cash handling and debit transaction procedures.
• Consistently follow product handling procedures to ensure orders are filled accurately and inventory is maintained.
• Help customers at an efficient pace.
• Aid the inventory process with product stickering and stocking shelves neatly.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, complete daily cleaning tasks.
• Maintain the visual standards of products and displays on the sales floor
• Assist with the opening and closing duties of the store.
• Direct all marketing and inventory inquiries to a Supervisor/Manager.
• Collaborate with teammates on additional projects/tasks as needed.
• Continue your education with ongoing training.
• Attend and participate in briefings, company trainings and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

Required:

• Reliable and extremely trustworthy.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years of customer service and/or retail experience.
• Highly accurate cash counting and product handling skills
• Excellent listening skills.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Able to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
• Detail-oriented and systematic.

Preferred:

• Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Passionate about learning everything about cannabis, products, and consumption methods.
• Knowledge of the cannabis industry and state regulation.

Physical Requirements:

The PSR is required to stand for long periods of time, moving about frequently in confined space. This position also requires bending, stooping, climbing, and kneeling, as needed, to merchandise and maintain the cleanliness of the store. The PSR must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 25 pounds multiple times per day; and may be required to occasionally safely lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.

Schedule

The schedule for this position varies and is based on operational needs. Store hours are from 8 am to 10 pm, 7 days a week, and open most holidays (364 days a year). PSR’s are typically scheduled 6-10 hour shifts that provide coverage to best support their team and store. The PSR’s schedule may require extended hours, both day and afternoon shifts, weekends and holidays.

This position is required to report to their assigned location, in-person.

All NatureMed team members are required to obtain and retain a Facility Agent license through the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS), or the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (MDHSS), as a condition of their employment.
