Position Overview:
Nature's Apprentice is seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape Construction/Masonry Foreman to lead and oversee our landscape and masonry projects. The ideal candidate will manage a team of skilled workers, ensuring that all projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality. Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management: Oversee and execute all aspects of landscape construction and masonry projects, including site preparation, hardscaping, and finishing details.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and manage a crew of laborers and skilled tradespeople, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met.
• Scheduling & Coordination: Plan daily tasks, manage project timelines, and coordinate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors as needed.
• Masonry Expertise: Lead masonry installations such as patios, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, firepits, and stone veneers with precision and attention to detail.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols on job sites, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and address challenges proactively, offering effective solutions to keep projects on track.
• Equipment & Material Management: Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles; order and manage materials to meet project requirements.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all work meets or exceeds client expectations and adheres to company standards.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in landscape construction, masonry, or a related field, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of hardscaping, grading, drainage, and masonry techniques (stone, brick, and concrete).
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead a team, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain high team morale.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with clients, team members, and management.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and resolve issues efficiently on the job site.
• Physical Fitness: Capable of performing physical labor, including lifting heavy materials and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid driver’s license required; certifications in masonry or landscaping are a plus.
• Bi-Lingual is a plus. (Spanish and English)
