Job Purpose/Overview
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to manage inventory control and material tracking within the factory. To accomplish this, the associate will work and be familiar with multiple systems (SAP, Redzone, MES, etc.) and work with various audiences (SLT, Warehouse Leadership, Value Stream leaders, R&D, S&F, system functional experts, Controls Engineering/contractors). Responsible for using these systems to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management, optimizing stock levels, and supporting production needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily inventory control operations, ensuring accurate tracking of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and movement of finished goods.
- Perform regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between material stock and system data.
- Managing inventory rotations, ensuring FIFO (first in, first out) is adhered to for all materials.
- Utilizing SAP and MES systems to track and manage all aspects of inventory, including material movements, transactions, consumption, and reporting.
- Generating and reviewing reports from SAP and MES for inventory trends, discrepancies, and production demands.
- Communicating inventory status, shortages, or surpluses to management and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure inventory levels meet production schedules and minimize disruptions in production.
- Assist in audits of inventory records and provide necessary documentation for regulatory compliance.
- Perform Data Key User & Inventory Control Key User roles at a site
- Perform SAP Production implementation and maintenance role at the site
- Ensure MES integration as required
- Amend BOM master data in production systems
- Coordinate recipe usability with R&D
Education & Professional Qualifications
- A degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field and applicable work experience are preferred.
Knowledge / Experience
- 3 years of relevant work experience in warehousing, inventory management, or logistics-related environments.
- Expertise in managing inventories, BOMs, and Recipes using SAP, MES, and/or troubleshooting system transactional errors is a plus.
