What are the responsibilities and job description for the Produce Department Associate position at NATURE'S PANTRY?
Nature’s Pantry is looking for a Produce Department Associate/Stock Associate with retail experience. We are looking for an individual to select, price and promote fresh organic and local produce and meet objectives for sales and customer service. Also help with processing grocery deliveries.
Qualifications:
· Ensure produce preparation, walk-in and display areas are maintained in a sanitary and orderly condition meeting health department standards and storage.
· Knowledge to comply with the USDA organic standards, sustainability and local agriculture.
· Ensures proper temperature maintenance at all times from receiving to sale.
· Office and computer skills with common programs including Excel, Word, email, etc.
· Must be able to lift up to 50#
· Must be able to tolerate cold conditions
· Must create and maintain a visibly attractive, clean and sanitary produce department.
· Proven experience in merchandising with attractive displays and uniform signage.
· Excel in customer service and communication skills.
Schedule will be Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
