What are the responsibilities and job description for the Opportunity for Montessori Lead Guide and Assistant for Toddler Program position at Nature Song Montessori?
Nature Song Montessori is expanding! For the last 9 years, our home-based preschool program has been able to create an amazing primary curriculum, a small team of awesome educators, inspired students who return to say hello, and an amazing, supportive parent community.
In the new year, we have been presented with an amazing opportunity to begin operating a toddler program next door and we are looking for a special Montessori Guide to grow with us in this brand new role. Our anticipated start date will be March 1st, and we are going to concentrate on one small group of 10-12 toddlers from 24 -36 months. Ideal candidates for our Montessori Lead Toddler Guide will be:
· An experienced and Montessori Toddler Guide
· An experienced Montessori Toddler Assistant looking to advance to the next stage of their career.
· Experience with potty training, and techniques to help parents at home.
· AMS certified or familiar with AMS practices (AMI ok too )
· Good communicators willing to work with a team of professionals at a growing Montessori program with plans for an Elementary school in the next few years.
· Someone who is adaptable is crucial.
**We can also explore experienced toddler teachers who are familiar with the Montessori philosophy but not certified, as we can assist with training along the way to candidates willing and open to learning the approach to guiding and teaching here at NSM.

Salary:
Lead Montessori Toddler Teacher:
Salary Range: $20 - 24.00 per hour to start/ depending on experience/ job performance/dependability
Hours: M-F 7:00 – 3:30pm
Asst. Montessori Toddler Teacher: $18 - $20 per hour to start/ depending on experience/ job performance/dependability
Hours: Part Time and flexible with potential to increase based on job performance/ good fit for our school etc.
Our school day runs from 8:00 - 3:30 with opportunities for prep time in the morning, and after school. There will be no weekend hours for this position.
