This position’s primary focus is to ensure supply chain continuity through procurement, production planning and shipment processes.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with partners, vendors and co-processors.
• Ensure continuity of supply chain for on-time delivery and customer satisfaction without product outages.
• Manage demand planning and forecasting to ensure accurate production and procurement needs are met.
• Accurately enter purchase contract, orders, and production orders and inventory into SAP system.
• Collaborate with sales team to develop cost models during sales and quoting processes.
• Lead end-to-end project management process for supply chain initiatives, ensuring timely execution of projects.
• Create and monitor inventory forecasts to maintain optimal inventory levels, reducing potential for out of stock and excess inventory situations.
• Manage and track quality complaints and claims to vendors and co-packers.
• Work with internal transportation team, grower-owners and other service providers to facilitate transportation of products.
• Ensure accuracy of up-to-date inventory, reporting on availability continuity plans to stakeholders.
• Review import, inventory and quality documents for accuracy and compliance
• Responsible for staying abreast of country-specific requirements for import/export documentation needed to ensure product is cleared for use by country and customers.
• Assist Organic Program Manager in supply chain organic regulatory program including USDA, FDA and other agency requirements with an emphasis on SOE and labeling compliance.
• Communicate requirements as well as negotiate, enter and execute purchase contracts for fruit and vegetable contracts, packaging, third-party storage and other commodities and services as required.
• Identify and facilitate qualification of new vendors and co-pack facilities as required.
• Opportunities for growth including vendor, co-packer relationship management and procurement activities.
• Prepare reports and other tasks as assigned on an ad hoc basis.
• Other duties as assigned from time to time.
Quantitative Data/Job Dimensions
• Support production and logistics, production planning and contract management for 10 vendors and production facilities in multiple countries.
• Manage flow of 20 million pounds from Chile to North America and Asia.
• Support supply activities for 50 customers and 3 sales personnel.
• Execute supply chain activities to support 50 million pounds of frozen fruits and vegetables.
• Up to 10% travel required to vendors, trade shows, including international travel.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2 years’ experience in procurement, production planning, and/or supply chain management.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office; regular use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point required.
• Strong organizational skills with high emphasis on attention to detail.
• Program management experience.
• Experience with demand forecasting, inventory management and capacity utilization planning.
• Project management experiences with the ability to communicate and manage in a cross-functional environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Ability to plan and execute in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
• Ability to understand work as a process and impact on internal/external customers.
• Demonstrated ability to use discretion and judgment when handling supply chain issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
