Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead and motivate a team of front-line employees to achieve company production goals. Effectively communicate expectations, foster teamwork, and ensure adherence to attendance and time-off policies.
• Production Management: Supervise production processes, ensuring products are processed, packaged, and stored in compliance with quality standards and safety regulations. Coordinate activities with other departments to maintain smooth production operations.
• Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track daily production outputs, compare results to customer requirements, and adjust as necessary to ensure optimal line speeds and efficiency. Manage and interpret various production reports, including throughput, yield, and quality performance.
• Safety & Compliance: Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations, including OSHA standards and FDA/USDA food handling requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by applying LEAN methodologies to identify waste reduction opportunities and enhance production processes. Ensure all operational practices support quality performance and meet company and regulatory guidelines.
• Employee Development & Collaboration: Collaborate with HR and other departments to recruit, hire, and train employees. Provide performance feedback, manage disciplinary actions, and foster a positive and cooperative work environment.

Qualifications:

• Education & Experience:
  • 4 years of relevant work experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role within a production environment.
  • Experience within a food processing organization is preferred.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work with production management systems.
  • Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles and process optimization.
• Communication & Leadership:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead a team, drive productivity, and resolve challenges in a fast-paced production environment.
• Analytical Skills:
  • Ability to interpret reports, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in varying temperature environments, including frozen areas.
• Ability to see, speak, hear, walk, and stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting over 50 pounds and performing tasks that require physical stamina.
