Team

This role is within the Electronic Trading Risk & Control Management Team, a global team within the COO division. The team is responsible for ensuring that Automated Risk Controls (ARCs) facilitate the prevention of E-Trading risks, such as market, conduct risk & algorithmic trading risk.

Reporting to the US Head of Risk and Control and supporting the global Director of Algorithmic Risk Control, you will have full ownership of implementing, assessing and reviewing US algorithmic trading controls by evaluating control description and testing evidence versus Automated Risk Control minimum standards in the ARC framework.

Responsibilities

• Implementation and ownership of US electronic trading risk controls
• Conduct reviews of control design specifications
• Perform control effectiveness assurance
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to conduct limit assessments
• Identify process improvements for assessing adequacy and effectiveness of controls
• Investigating and responding to electronic trading risk control issues
• Provide electronic trading subject matter expertise and risk oversight
• Ensure 1LOD compliance with relevant regulations, laws, and policies on electronic and algorithmic trading for our fixed income and foreign exchange businesses
• Monitor and understand changes to regulatory requirements and make necessary updates to internal policies and procedures
• Interface with regulatory bodies and respond to regulatory inquiries upon request
• Contribute to risk assessments and internal audit reviews
  
  
  

Skills You Will Need

To succeed in this role, you’ll need operational experience in an electronic trading business together with knowledge of financial services businesses and technology.

• Strong knowledge of U.S. regulations, including FINRA and SEC rules and regulations related to electronic and algorithmic trading
• Knowledge of FX and Fixed Income E-Trading environments, including quote-based and order-based trading flows
• Experience writing test cases and reviewing test evidence related to pre-trade electronic trading controls
• Experience reviewing and providing rationale for risk limits
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Financial Services
• Series 7 and 24 preferred, but not required

• Knowledge of financial services risk and control
• A clear track record of delivery and the ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
• The ability to think strategically and to develop targeted and intelligent solutions which are appropriate for the business
• Solid understanding of trading platforms and processes

The expected base annual salary range for this position is $185,000 -$205,000 at the start of employment. This is not a guarantee of compensation. The exact compensation is determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on skills, experience, training licensure, certifications and location.
