What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Cafe Worker (2.5 hours) position at Naugatuck Public Schools?
- Able to complete all paperwork required of the position including but not limited to cash reports, production records and temperature records. This qualification must be met within the thirty-day probationary period.
- Must possess a positive attitude and good customer relation skills.
- No previous experience required.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Assist with all aspects of the food service process using good physical safety and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) procedures. Including but not limited to the following tasks.
- Food Preparation
- Food Service / Cashiering
- Kitchen Sanitation / Clean-up
- Stock and Restocking
- Provide the highest quality of service to the customers at all times.
- Work as a team member to complete all duties in a timely and efficient manner.
- Adhere to guidelines and requirements set forth by the National School Lunch Program, the National School Breakfast Program and the State of Connecticut.
- Participate in training sessions related to job description.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Cook Manager and / or Food Service Director.
- Complete all duties in full compliance with the policies and procedures set forth by the Naugatuck Public Schools Food Service Program, Board of Education and school Principal.
