TITLE OF POSITION:
Anticipated 1.0 Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA)
LOCATION:
Eddy Elementary School and Stony Brook Elementary School
DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT
OF POSITION:
- Provide direct behavior services to students as indicated on their IEPs;
- Support staff in the creation of behavior support plans, data collection, and analyzing data;
- Conduct FBAs and other assessments as needed;
- Participate in the student IEP process as needed;
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and paraeducators and provide direction and training as needed;
- Be Safety Care trained, actively utilize these strategies, and support staff by modeling and utilizing these interventions;
- Provide professional development around behavioral interventions;
- Collaborate with staff on substantially separate programs, including the ASD classrooms and therapeutic classroom, as well as general education students and settings;
- Participate in the pre-referral MTSS process as needed;
- Provide behavioral consultation to support general education students;
- Assist and support in developing PBIS structures, supports, and programming at both schools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed BCBA
- Experience working in special education
- Safety Care trained (the district can provide this training if needed)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
SALARY:
Individual contract, 185 days
