The Fiberglass Service Technician is a skilled role within our organization, responsible for performing fiberglass repair and maintenance on boats, watercraft, or fiberglass-based products. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and durability of our products.
Responsibilities :
- Fiberglass Repair : Assess and repair fiberglass damage, including cracks, chips, and delamination, using appropriate tools, techniques, and materials.
- Gelcoat Application : Apply gelcoat to repair areas to restore the cosmetic finish and color matching.
- Surface Preparation : Prepare surfaces for repair, including sanding, grinding, and cleaning to ensure proper adhesion.
- Structural Repairs : Perform structural repairs, including hull and deck reinforcements and core replacements, when necessary.
- Detailing : Complete finishing touches, such as buffing, polishing, and waxing, to restore the product's appearance.
- Quality Control : Conduct quality checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards and customer expectations.
- Inventory Management : Maintain an inventory of fiberglass materials, resins, and tools, and order supplies as needed.
- Documentation : Accurately document repair work, including materials used, labor hours, and customer information.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Customer Interaction : Communicate with customers regarding repair progress and provide guidance on maintenance and care.
