Front Desk Associate

We are looking for a Gym Front Desk Associate to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their memberships. Gym Front Desk Associate responsibilities include giving tours of the gym, selling concessions, and providing information about memberships, personal training packages and amenities. If you have a knack for customer service and work experience in the gym industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable atmosphere for our members.

Responsibilities

• Perform all membership sign up tasks.
• be able to have a professional demeanor while answering phone calls, and doing sales calls.
• Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data.
• Sell concessions to members.
• Welcome guests when they walk in the door and be willing to answer any/all questions they have.
• Provide information about our gym, membership plans, rates and amenities.
• Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner, and let management know.
• Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate.
• Have a willingness to learn our computer software and be able to remember how to use it after training.

Skills

• Work experience as a Receptionist or similar role.
• Experience with POS software, or willingness to learn and adapt to our software (JONAS).
• Understanding of basic computer skills.
• Customer service experience, and a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Having previous experience in a Gym atmosphere is a plus, but not necessary.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability
