Duties

  • You will create, review, process and coordinate Requests for Personnel Actions (RPAs) for the FST Departments
  • You will research, analyze and prepare a wide variety of recurring and nonrecurring reports, documents and correspondence to meet the goals and objectives of ISSC Cherry Point.
  • You will run reports for the WMO management analyst to provide feedback to supervisors on processing of Performance Plans, Mid- Year Reviews, End of Year Appraisals and Ratings for personnel.
  • You will assist the WMO Administrator or lead program analyst with advising advises supervisors and making recommendations for appropriate recruitment action and their requirements to ensure best resources are used to hire most qualified candidates.
  • You will handle operational and personnel matters, including troubleshooting pay and non-pay issues, if not handled by respective FST secretaries.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Creating, reviewing, processing and coordinating Requests for Personnel Actions (RPAs); 2) Interpreting applicable personnel laws, regulations, policies, precedents and practices to ensure the organization is complaint in all Human Resource matters in addition to staffing and hiring policies; 3) Develop new or modified work methods, organizational structures, management processes, and/or program administration procedures related to Human Resources processes; 4) Applying knowledge of the local issues, program goals and objectives, Fleet Support Team (FST) work processes to help improve efficiency and accuracy of administrative operations of the organization.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
