This GS-0801-12 General Engineer position is one-of-one and is the single employee, assigned to Public Works Department (PWD) at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, but forward deployed to Strategic Communications Wing One (SCW-1) located at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City, OK, in facilities-related support of their National Command Authority (NCA), “Looking Glass” mission. The position advises the Facilities Management Director and PWD leadership on all facilities-related support issues at SCW-1.

What you need:
- Experience in project development and project construction management
- Knowledge of Navy Public Works and Air Force Base Civil Engineer department requirements development and operations
- United States Citizenship Required
- Ability to obtain a secret government security clearance
The skills/experience we want to see:
- Coordinate and track routine maintenance and service calls submitted, particularly attention to service call priority and funds execution/availability.
- Communicate tactfully and effectively both orally and in writing to resolve conflicts and negotiate matters.
- Performs studies, evaluating various aspects of the maintenance management and facility management systems to identify, analyze, and recommend improved practices.
- Perform site surveys and field measurements to generate work scope, cost estimates, project documentation, reports and plans.
- Prepare cost estimates for repair, maintenance and construction projects.
- Develop/coordinate project requirements and priorities with tenant input and within annual sustainment, maintenance and repair budgetary controls.
