Job Description
The Naval Reactors Facility is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to help manage the life safety systems at our facility. Duties will include becoming a system owner of various life safety systems, including fire suppression, pumps and tanks, fire alarm and detection, passive barriers, emergency lights, and others. Responsibilities will include authoring fire impairments, overseeing maintenance programs, performing life cycle analyses, and aiding in design of system upgrades. In this position, you will have many training opportunities to not only learn about your assigned systems, but also about interpreting and applying international fire and building codes. Multiple engineering disciplines can successfully become a fire protection engineer through experience and training offered during employment.
Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field.
Preferred Skills
Engineering degree in Fire Protection Engineering or other engineering degrees with strong desire to learn.
Compensation And Benefits
$62,000.00 - $94,900.00 annually
