The equipment installation engineer will be responsible for supporting installation of equipment used in movement or processing of nuclear fuel which includes shielded containers, worker platforms, bandsaws, storage systems, equipment elevators, and waste stands. The engineer will become an expert on the systems and equipment and be able to write installation procedures, functional testing criteria, troubleshoot issues, assist installation technicians, and act as the liaison between equipment installers, construction and engineering. Additional areas or opportunity for the selected candidate may include cost estimating, reviewing contracts, planning, writing requirements, drafting or reviewing lift plans, and working closely with project management to coordinate installation around other construction work. You will be part of the team working on construction and startup of one of the largest construction projects in the Naval nuclear program. Experience working in a team environment with interface groups such as operations, construction contractors, compliance personnel, and procurement. Experience working with a highly motivated team such as military, or production preferred. Remote working experience preferred.
