Summary You will serve as a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST in the Corporate Operations Directorate, Business Office of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING GROTON. You will serve as the Command Communications and Operations Specialist and lead for development and integration of high level command communication products that will be sent to both internal and external customers. You will also serve as the lead for process improvement / innovation initiatives for the command. Responsibilities You will work with leadership to implement process improvements that support Command and directorate-level goals tied to the SUPSHIP Groton strategic plan; Lead agile teams in achieving process improvement project goals. You will prepare concept and organizational design briefings for presentation to NAVSEA Commanders; Adapts implementation plans as necessary to changing senior leader plans and priorities. You will be responsible for assisting in ongoing strategic planning, developing, coordinating, integrating, implementing, and developing assessment criteria for use by senior leaders to direct continuous improvement efforts. You will be responsible for the individuals working on various portions of the criteria meet deadlines and adhere to key quality standards. You will coordinate with resource management and budgeting officials to ensure that initiatives, and requirements are continually linked with the resourcing process. You will build strong, collaborative partnerships with government team members and shipbuilder suppliers to identify process improvements, assess process improvement implementation value to Navy shipbuilding and drive selected projects to completion. You will upon request or direction, provide rapid and accurate executive-level analysis and support in order to respond to critical strategic questions, requests for information, and tasking within SSGR and from local and NAVSEA stakeholders. You will integrate and prepare reports and presentations to NAVSEA Commanders on all facets of command performance. These reports will be generated on a periodic and ad-hoc basis as required. You will continuously seek and integrate feedback from organizational leaders, shipbuilder suppliers, and the workforce into SUPSHIP Groton’s process improvement program. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : Analyzing and evaluating policies and procedures to identify issues and recommend process improvements for an organization..
