Summary
You will serve as a Lead Transportation Assistant (Vendor/Storage Management) in the Navy Household Goods/Personal Property Shipping Office (HHG/PPSO) Vendor/Storage Management Section of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Identifying a need for and knowing where or how to gather information; organizing and maintaining information or information management systems; performing personal property shipment work, etc. Examples of Qualifying Specialized Experience: 1) Determining and advising on entitlements or procedures related to temporary storage of goods, weight allowances, prohibited items, and shipment of unaccompanied baggage, privately owned vehicles, and household goods; 2) Providing guidance and in-depth knowledge of the principles of traffic management as it applies to the storage and shipment of household goods, unaccompanied baggage, boats and privately owned vehicle (POV); 3) Providing in-depth knowledge of all phases of the personal property shipment and storage area (i.e., entitlements, outbound movements, counseling, non-temporary and temporary storage, quality assurance, warehousing practices, electronic billing and invoicing, manual invoice certification for non-temporary storage (NTS) and DPM shipments, and procedures for processing loss and damage claims); 4) Dealing with broad and complex transportation problems, i.e. ability to interpret a wide variety/range of entitlements, transportation, packing, and crating and storage regulations; 5) Assisting in planning and managing daily workload, monitoring and recording TSP performance, approving and certifying assessorial services, interpreting regulations, and resolving customer and TSP conflicts.
