The Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking a skilled Fuel Distribution Systems Operator to assist in fueling and de-fueling tanker trucks, aircraft, and Navy combatant ships. The ideal candidate will have experience working under close supervision, performing simple tasks, and following directions. They must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in all types of weather conditions. In addition to manual labor duties, the selected individual will be responsible for operating pumps and accessory equipment to load, unload, and transfer fuel through pipelines and hoses. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will have a valid driver's license, a Forklift Operator License, and government operator permit with HAZMAT certification. A pre-employment drug test and security clearance are also required.
