Key Responsibilities
- Assist in fueling and de-fueling tanker trucks, as well as fueling aircraft or Navy combatant ships.
- Operate pumps and accessory equipment to load, unload, and transfer fuel through pipelines and hoses, moving fuel to and from storage tanks, tankers, ships, barges, and tank trucks.
- Record fuel transfers and apply seals to tank trucks.
- Gauge tanks using a calibrated plumb bob and tape, and document gauge readings, scale readings, and the volumes transferred.
