ADMINISTRATIVE CATHOLIC PARISH COORDINATOR
Navana Health Agency is looking for an Administrative Catholic Parish Coordinator.
Location: Fort Rucker Main Post Chapel, Fort Novosel, Alabama
Employment Type: Full-Time
Contract Duration: 12 months (Base Year) with potential for four (4) 12-month option years.
About the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Catholic Parish Coordinator to provide administrative and logistical support to the Catholic Parish community at Fort Novosel. The coordinator will work closely with the Catholic Chaplain and Priest to ensure smooth operation of religious services, volunteer activities, and parish communications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the Catholic Liturgical Cycle and manage parish events.
- Maintain and update the Parish Calendar with weekly projections.
- Recruit, train, and organize parish volunteers for social and ecclesiastical events.
- Publicize parish activities and events through bulletins, social media, and community outlets.
- Prepare and distribute the Catholic weekly bulletin.
- Maintain parish registration, census data, and volunteer rosters.
- Recommend, track, and assist with purchasing supplies for religious services.
- Assist the Catholic Chaplain with sacramental preparation and documentation.
- Collaborate with other ministries to ensure the success of parish programs.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: to prepare documents, manage schedules and communicate with parish members.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks: scheduling, volunteer management, and coordinating events.
- Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
- Preferred Experience in a military chapel program or Catholic parish administration.
Schedule:
· Dayshift
· Monday to Friday (with occasional weekend support for Masses and special events).
