Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE :
Under the general supervision of the Director of Adult Education, the Part-Time Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) Recruiter will be responsible scheduling Information sessions, orientation, and attending recruiting events in service area.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Be familiar with rules and regulations of the Adult Education and Literacy programs as stated in the operating guide for Adult Education and Literacy programs in Texas.
- Collecting information and qualifying students for programs and services.
- Assist potential students with completion of online application.
- Presents Adult Education & Literacy Program to small and large groups at Navarro College locations and in the community.
- Willing to travel to service areas for recruiting events.
- Entering, updating, and reviewing data and records.
- Corresponding with AEL applicants and prospective students via phone, email and text.
- Manage the applicant pipeline.
- Become certified to administer assessments as required by TWC (Texas Workforce Commission).
- Maintain active membership of TALAE (Texas Association for Literacy & Adult Education).
- Acquire professional development hours required by TWC as outlined within the time frame requested by AEL.
- Attend networking events.
- Attend AEL Commencement and all other special events.
- Turn in all paperwork in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
