What You’ll Do:
As a Project Manager II, you will be responsible for leading a significant Data Governance project, ensuring seamless collaboration between IT teams, program stakeholders, and external vendors. You will oversee project planning, budgeting, reporting, and documentation while ensuring compliance with HHSC-IT project management frameworks. Your role will also involve managing agile ceremonies, JIRA boards, and project communications to keep stakeholders informed.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Lead Data Governance projects, ensuring successful execution and delivery
- Plan, budget, oversee, and document project activities
- Manage agile project methodologies, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups
- Oversee JIRA board management and maintain project tracking
- Ensure adherence to HHSC-IT project management framework
- Act as a liaison between IT teams, external vendors, and program stakeholders
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders
- Foster collaboration and teamwork across multiple departments
- 5 years of experience in project management or a related field
- Strong understanding of standard project management concepts, practices, and procedures
- Experience with agile methodologies and JIRA board management
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision while exercising sound judgment
- 3 years of broad-based information systems, system integration, and project delivery experience
- Strong ability to collaborate with external vendors and Quality Assurance teams
- Experience in Data Governance projects
- Knowledge of HHSC-IT project management frameworks
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments
- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and project tracking tools
